Search & Rescue (Operational Level) is a 2-day USCG & STCW approved course that will provide students with the knowledge to respond to a distress signal at sea. Students will understand how to use SAR plans, as well as gain knowledge of the contents of International Aeronautical and Maritime Search and Rescue Manual Volume III.
Any student successfully completing this Search & Rescue (Operational Level) course will satisfy the Search & Rescue training requirements of 46 CFR 11.309(a)(4)(iii) for an STCW endorsement as Officer in Charge of a Navigational Watch on vessels of 500 or more gross tonnage (ITC); and the specific task from the National Assessment Guidelines found in NVIV 12-14; Task 6.1.A and NVIC 13-14; Task 4.1.A.
