DOL H-1B Ready To Work Petrochem Grant -     *No Longer Accepting New Applications*

 

The DOL H-1B Ready to Work Petrochem Grant is in the close-out phase with March 31, 2019 being the last day of the grant.  The recruiting of participants is complete, thus no more applications are being accepted.  We would like to thank all of our grant participants in allowing us to serve you and help you achieve your goals.  The Department of Labor has provided the funding to aid in training and serving unemployed individuals to prepare for a career in the Petrochemical industry.  We would also like to thank our partners who worked with us to provide a variety of services – College of the Mainland, Lee College, Brazosport College, and the Houston Galveston Area Council.  Achieving the goals of the grant took a team effort, and the work that was accomplished was outstanding.  The grant achievements as of September 30, 2018 are:

           

               1590 grant participants served

               1445 participants received Education/Job training activities

                 989 participants completed their program

              2178 credentials were awarded

                992 participants obtained employment
