We focus on innovation that improves quality of service while reducing cost. We support the achievement of the College’s strategy, instructional and administrative needs, and the outcomes we promise in our Service Level Agreement. We do this through excellence in work ethic, collaboration with our College stakeholders, and leveraging industry thought leadership.

San Jacinto College Information Technology Services (ITS) supports more than 30,000 students, 1,200 full and part-time faculty and staff located in 5 major locations (4 campuses and district offices), extension centers or remotely through distance learning programs and virtual services. ITS:

  • Provides onsite and help desk customer service, systems management, telephony, information management, contact center, web development, and project management services
  • Operates 7 days a week
  • Has 100 full-time staff, 20 part-time staff, plus temporary staff
  • Has over 30,000 customers
  • Receives over 700,000 phone calls annually (Contact Center/Help Desk)
  • Receives over 60,000 service requests annually, including media events
  • Delivers 100+ projects annually
  • Supports 7,500 computers (Dell PC’s and Apple Macs)
  • Supports over 30,000 virtual desktops
  • Supports 50 physical servers scalable to over 350 virtual servers
  • Supports over 500 multi-media classrooms (including computer labs, conference rooms, and theaters)
  • Supports 900 network switches and over 750 wireless access points
  • Supports 5 data rooms, over 200 data closets
