About Us
Media Production Specialists provide skilled expertise in multimedia development producing videos, audio files, graphics and other multimedia for faculty and staff. Our team focuses on the production of instructional content for San Jacinto College.
Location and Contact Information
Our studios and offices are located on the first floor of the North campus library building, N.14.114. Our regular office hours are from 8 am to 5 pm, Monday through Friday.
To initiate a request for media production, submit the Instructional Design Services Support Request form. Once submitted, your form will be reviewed and someone will contact you within 2 business days.
Production Services
Video
We can produce instructional videos ranging from a basic narrated photo slideshow to full video production with animations and special effects.
Video production type should be selected based on the project outcomes and timelines.
Video Editing
We can edit and produce videos from footage we have recorded or obtained from faculty. Before footage is submitted, please consider these important items.
- Media release forms must be signed and provided with the footage. You can obtain the appropriate media release form by contacting media staff.
- You must have permission for any video content you submit. If you did not create the video yourself, written permission from the copyright holder must be obtained before we will work with the footage.
Audio
We can produce and edit audio recordings such as podcasts or voice-overs to support your instructional content. Audio recording edits are held to the same copyright and permission standards as video editing. See information regarding Video Editing.
Closed Captioning
We are committed to supporting SJC faculty and staff in their accessibility efforts. This includes the addition of captions to media produced through our office or by faculty. For closed captioning requests, please contact the media services staff.
Photography
We can produce and edit photos to support your instructional content. Photos are held to the same copyright and permissions standards as video editing. See information regarding Video Editing.
