Brigitte Gauvin, San Jacinto College softball student-athlete, has signed a National Letter of Intent to continue her education and softball career with the University of the Incarnate Word (UIW) in San Antonio, Texas.
The sophomore catcher finished the 2015 season hitting .277 behind six doubles, three home runs, and 25 RBI, receiving National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) All-South Conference honors. Last season, she earned National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) honors by being named to the NFCA All-Midwest Region first team, and was a NJCAA All-Conference first team and All-Region second team selection. Gauvin plans to major in biology when she begins at UIW this Fall.
