Noted neuroscientist, educator, and author David Eagleman will talk about the brain and how it shapes who we become at a presentation set for Thursday, April 21 at 10:15 a.m. at the San Jacinto College North Campus. The event is free, open to the public, and will take place in the Monument Room, located in the student center.

Copies of Eagleman’s books will be on sale, and he will sign books following the presentation. Eagleman is the writer and host of the international PBS series, “The Brain with David Eagleman.” His most recent book is “The Brain: The Story of You.” Other books include the internationally bestselling “Sum” and “Incognito: The Secret Lives of the Brain.”

Eagleman directs the Laboratory for Perception and Action as well as the Initiative on Neuroscience and Law at Baylor College of Medicine. He is a pioneer in the areas of brain plasticity, time perception, synesthesia, and neurolaw.

Eagleman’s presentation is coordinated by the San Jacinto College North Campus English and humanities departments and the College’s Center for Excellence in Teaching and Learning.
