The San Jacinto College men’s soccer team will hold open tryouts for the 2016 season on Friday, May 13, from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m., at the South Campus soccer field.
San Jacinto College finished the 2015 season 12-6-1 as the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) Region XIV runners-up. Recently, the team wrapped up a successful Spring season with wins against Houston Baptist University (1-0) and St. Mary’s University (2-0), a tie with University of the Incarnate Word (2-2), and a single loss to United Soccer League (USL) professional team Rio Grande Valley FC (0-4).
Tryouts are open to current and incoming San Jacinto College students as well as high school graduating seniors. Participants are required to bring their own shin guards and water.
