PASADENA, Texas – A group of San Jacinto College chemistry I Honors students recently visited the LyondellBasell plant in La Porte, Texas, for a glimpse of how chemicals are processed for making products.

The visit is organized each year between chemistry professor Elisabeth Harthcock and LyondellBasell employee Judy Hickey. It provides students with an opportunity to speak with chemical engineers and process operators, understand plant processes, and learn of the educational and career paths of the employees.
