Requirements

Following are the requirements for entry into the RN-to-BSN program at San Jacinto College.

  1. Complete an Associate of Applied Science in Nursing (AAS) from an accredited institution.
  2. Reflect a grade of C, or higher, in all previous nursing transfer courses.
  3. Hold an unencumbered, Texas RN licensure. Licensure must be valid throughout program completion.
  4. Be currently employed as a professional nurse (employment verification required).
  5. Cumulative GPA 2.5 on a 4.0 scale, while in RN-to-BSN program.
  6. Submit one recommendation letter from health care employer (supervisor) or former nursing faculty. 

 

Steps to Apply

  1. If not previously enrolled at San Jacinto College, apply to the college through Apply Texas.
  2. Complete RN-to-BSN application.
  3. Pre-requisite courses completed, or in progress.
