San Jacinto College received a NASA MAA grant to provide enriching STEM learning experiences to students to reduce achievement gaps in STEM education and careers.
The three main grade level course areas are:
4th and 5th grade (open year round)– six weeks of FREE educational programming with STEM topics such as human survival in space, the solar system size, circuits, space mining & more.... This program IS NOW OFFERED 100% ONLINE. To enroll your child, please email email@example.com for a registration packet.
6th to 8th grade Summer camps - FREE one week-long cyber and face to face camps focused on students learning about NASA’s journey to MARS. Topics include the engineering design cycle, rocketry, parachute landings, survival systems, space weather, navigation, robotics, and more... 9th to 10 grade after school/Saturdays – Teens attend extracurricular sessions on their campus. Activities include circuitry, computer programming, robotics, and more.... A final design challenge judged by Aerospace industry partners and college faculty will be hosted at the college.

Family ACADEMY - STEM Night
Families can attend FREE workshops to learn how to engage with their students on STEM topics. Parents will receive instruction on at home activities they can do with their children with an explanation of the scientific theories behind each.
Events are one evening in December, February and May from 6-8 pm
