Requirements
Following are the requirements for entry into the RN-to-BSN program at San Jacinto College.
- Complete an Associate of Applied Science in Nursing (AAS) from an accredited institution.
- Reflect a grade of C, or higher, in all previous nursing transfer courses.
- Hold an unencumbered, Texas RN licensure. Licensure must be valid throughout program completion.
- Be currently employed as a professional nurse (employment verification required).
- Cumulative GPA 2.5 on a 4.0 scale, while in RN-to-BSN program.
- Submit one recommendation letter from health care employer (supervisor) or former nursing faculty.
Steps to Apply
- If not previously enrolled at San Jacinto College, apply to the college through Apply Texas.
- Complete RN-to-BSN application.
- Pre-requisite courses completed, or in progress.
