Certified Nurse Aide Training

The Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) program at San Jacinto College provides students with the training, skills, knowledge and abilities to care for patients in long-term care facilities. Students learn to provide safety and preventative measures in the care of patients as well as how to function as a member of the healthcare team.

Students are trained for entry-level employment in long-term facilities, hospitals and doctor offices through classroom time and 60 hours of clinical practice.

Certification

After completion of the class, students are eligible to take the State of Texas Certified Nurse Aide Certification Exam. Certification fee is not included in the cost of the course.

BLS CPR, Immunizations/titers as per TX Admin Code website at: http://bit.ly/TXimmunizations, background check through PreCheck

*Must co-enroll in Certified Nurse Aide Clinical
