Texas' First Associate Degree Maritime Transportation Program
Launched in the fall semester of 2012 and at the request of local industry for a higher quality and a more well-rounded entry- level professional mariner, San Jacinto College is home to the Associate Degree in Maritime Transportation that combines USCG and STCW-approved maritime training with the college-level academics required of an associate degree.
Our goal is to provide new mariners to the industry with practical knowledge in the areas of math, science, and English that most closely relates to their maritime career path.
My experience at San Jac was awesome. Ed and the other instructors didn’t come in and just teach. They made me understand what they were teaching.
