*** Boil Water Notice***

Thursday, February 27, 2020

A boil water notice has been issued for the City of Houston’s Main Water System, which includes the San Jacinto College South Campus. The boil water notice is a result of water pressure that dropped below the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality’s required minimum of 20 PSI during a large (96-inch) water line break at 610 & Clinton Drive in East Houston this afternoon.

South Campus students and employees are advised to not drink water from the water fountains or faucets on the campus during the boil water notice. College administration is working with auxiliary services regarding service at the café and Starbucks.

Houston Water crews have been able to isolate the break and water pressure should be slowly restored over the next few hours.
