Mental Health Counselors at San Jacinto College are here to support students' mental wellbeing and assist with connecting students to resources that will support their basic needs. Counseling and support services are offered to all San Jacinto College students 18 years of age or older. All our services are confidential - no information is released to anyone without written consent, except in the case of a life-threatening emergency or when it is otherwise required by law.
Free Online Mental Health Screenings
San Jacinto College provides free online mental health screenings for all San Jacinto College students. Mental health screenings are a quick way to determine if you or someone you care about may need to reach out to a doctor or mental health professional for an evaluation. They are educational, not diagnostic.
Key factors to keep in mind when completing a mental health screening include:
- Completing these screenings will help you determine if your recent thoughts or behaviors may be associated with common, treatable mental health issues.
- The screenings cannot be linked to any one individual, so you remain anonymous.
- It takes only a few minutes per screening, and at the end you will be presented with resource information and next steps.
