PASADENA, Texas –Sandra Ramirez, vice chancellor of human resources, organizational and talent effectiveness, for San Jacinto College has been named a 2025 HR Impact Award winner by the Houston Business Journal in the Large Company category.

The HR Impact Awards recognize human resources leaders and organizations that play a vital—yet often behind-the-scenes—role in the success of Greater Houston’s top companies. Honorees were selected from peer nominations and judged on leadership, innovation, and measurable business accomplishments.

Ramirez, who joined San Jacinto College in 2010 and has served as vice chancellor since 2019, oversees all facets of the College’s human resources operations, including organizational and talent development, talent acquisition, compensation, benefits, employee relations, and performance management. Her leadership has modernized and streamlined HR processes across the College’s five campuses, helping strengthen its reputation as both an employer of choice and a top provider of higher education in the Houston region.

“I am deeply honored to receive the HR Impact Award,” said Ramirez. “Every day, the human resources team works hard to create an environment where employees feel supported, empowered, and connected to the College’s mission. When we invest in our people, we ultimately strengthen the experience for our students and the communities we serve.”
