PASADENA, Texas - San Jacinto College Chief Information Security Officer Joshua Dray has been named a finalist for the 2026 HoustonCISO ORBIE Awards in the corporate category. The recognition honors chief information security officers who demonstrate excellence in leadership, innovation, and the delivery of business value through enterprise security.
More than 130 cybersecurity leaders across the Houston region were nominated this year, underscoring the strength and impact of the area’s technology community. As a finalist, Dray will be recognized during the HoustonCISO ORBIE Awards ceremony on April 23, which is expected to draw more than 200 technology professionals and business leaders from across the region.
“I am deeply appreciative of this recognition and grateful to be named a finalist among such an accomplished group of cybersecurity leaders,” Dray said. “This honor reflects the trust, vision, and support of San Jacinto College’s senior leadership team and the collective efforts of the talented professionals I have the privilege to lead. At San Jacinto College, cybersecurity is not just about risk management – it’s about enabling innovation, resilience, and mission success.”
The ORBIE Awards are the preeminent executive recognition program for C-suite technology and security leaders. Since 1998, the awards have celebrated leadership excellence, fostered trusted executive relationships, and inspired the next generation of technology leaders. Finalists and winners are selected through an independent, peer-adjudicated process led by prior ORBIE recipients and evaluated on leadership and management effectiveness, business value created through enterprise security, and engagement in industry and community initiatives.
“Josh exemplifies what modern cybersecurity leadership should look like,” said Rob Stanicic, vice chancellor for technology initiatives. “He approaches security as a strategic business enabler, aligning technology, risk management, and institutional priorities in a way that strengthens the College as a whole. This recognition is well deserved and reflects the high standard of excellence he brings to our organization every day.”
As chief information security officer, Dray oversees the College’s enterprise cybersecurity strategy, helping ensure the protection of critical systems and data across the institution’s campuses and operations.
