Are you a homeschooled student looking for a way to supplement your education and earn college credit at the same time? San Jacinto College offers a dual credit program for homeschooled students, allowing you to take college-level courses while still in high school.
To participate in the dual credit program, homeschooled students must meet the same requirements as dual credit students enrolled in public or private high schools. This means that students will follow the same process of admittance to the College and provide a high school transcript to document their status as a homeschooled student.
Below we've outlined the steps to help you apply. If you have additional questions, please feel free to contact us.
We've put together some helpful documents to get you started.
To start, complete your full profile and the application. Your application will be
processed within 72 hours. After that, you'll be emailed your San Jac Student ID number
(example: G0100123).
All incoming Texas college students must receive a vaccination or booster against
bacterial meningitis.
Be sure to include your home school transcript plus any additional transcripts from
previous high schools or colleges. We’ve included an example homeschool high school
transcript template to help guide you. You can request the MOU from any San Jac campus dual credit office. Please note that both the MOU and verification forms must be signed annually. The registration process for dual credit students differs from standard enrollment.
Online registration is not available. Instead, dual credit students will need to complete
a Dual Credit Enrollment form to enroll. To stay enrolled in your classes, be sure to pay your portion of tuition and fees
by the college’s posted deadline. You can make a payment through your My San Jac Student Portal or in person at the college’s business office. Need a little flexibility? Installment plans are available!
