Frequently Asked Questions
Determining which courses are required to renew a mariners license depends on what
license you have. Please contact our staff at 281-459-5483 or SanJacinto.Maritime@sjcd.edu for specific help.
An official government-issued identification is required on the first day of the class
along with payment. Examples of a government-issued ID include a passport or driver’s
license.
A pen, pencil, and note paper. All other material will be provided.
Class hours are below. You should arrive 30 minutes prior to starting time on the first day of class to allow for the completion of administrative paperwork.
Mon-Fri: 0800-1700
- During summer months classes will end at 1200 on Fridays.
- Classes requiring off-site training may have adjusted class hours.
