ImprovE is an institutional approach to facilitating continuous improvement. It fundamentally reshapes assessment conversations between faculty, staff, administrators, and the assessment team. ImprovE brings the expertise of each into a rich, collaborative discussion about the success of our students, faculty, programs, services, and College.

WHAT IS ImprovE?

ImprovE is an entirely redesigned institutional approach to documenting continuous improvement across all instructional and support service programs. The long-standing "unit plans" or "annual assessment plans" are gone. The method leverages a generalized "plan, do, check, act" model of improvement and focuses on facilitating:

  • Just-in-time rather than annual documentation of continuous improvements

  • Documenting improvements at all scopes from individual faculty and small groups to departments and the entire college
  • Collaborative reports within and across programs

  • College-wide sharing of continuous improvement successes (and failures)

  • Exploration and replication of improvements implemented by colleagues

  • Engaging all college personnel in shaping the future of this method
