What Is a Quality Enhancement Plan (QEP)?

A Quality Enhancement Plan (QEP) is a key part of the college’s accreditation through the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges (SACSCOC). It reflects SACSCOC’s and the college’s shared commitment to improving the quality of higher education and to strengthening student learning and success.

The QEP is a carefully designed plan for action that focuses on a specific topic aimed at helping students learn more effectively or achieve greater success. It is rooted in the college’s ongoing planning and evaluation efforts. It often grows out of the continuous work we do to improve programs, teaching, and support services.

Benefits of a QEP

For students, the QEP means a better learning experience and stronger preparation for future careers or continued study. For employers, it means graduates who are more skilled, adaptable, and ready to contribute to a competitive workforce. And for our community, it means a stronger local economy and more opportunities for growth, innovation, and lifelong learning.

In short, the QEP is part of our roadmap and strategic plan for continuous improvement. It shows our commitment to helping every student and our entire community learn, achieve, and thrive.
