In order to make use of the Student Success Center and any of its resources, you will need your student identification number or San Jacinto College ID card. The SSC is free for students who attend any San Jacinto College campus.

 

The Student Success Center provides free tutoring for San Jacinto College students. Make an appointment for online tutoring. No appointment is required for in-person tutoring. Stop by anytime with general questions or come in during the subject-specific hours for in-person tutoring.

Follow these Steps:

  1. Access TutorTrac on your browser.
  2. Enter your “G” number in the “USER NAME” field.
  3. Enter your password in the "Password" field. It is the same as your SOS account.
  4. Select “Visit History” on the left panel and click the “Print” option.

 

Login to TutorTrac. View your upcoming appointments. At the time of your appointment, a Zoom link will appear. Click “Enter Zoom Appointment.” 
 
If you do not have a Zoom account, follow these instructions to create a free Zoom account.

 

Tips for successful tutoring sessions:

  • Get started early on coursework and ask questions.
  • Have your materials and documents ready to share with your tutor.
  • Reduce distractions.
  • Know that the tutor does not replace your professor and does not have access to your courses.
  • Be patient and stay engaged.
  • Keep the work going after your sessions.
