PASADENA, Texas — For the 16th consecutive year, San Jacinto College has been awarded the Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting by the Government Finance Officers Association of the United States and Canada. The prestigious award recognizes the College's annual comprehensive financial report for the fiscal year ending August 31, 2022.
The Certificate of Achievement is the highest form of recognition in governmental accounting and financial reporting. It represents a noteworthy accomplishment by both the government and its management.
“We are deeply honored to receive this award, a testament to our unwavering commitment to transparent accounting and reporting,” Teri Zamora, vice chancellor for fiscal affairs, said. “The accomplishment reflects the collective effort of our dedicated team, and I commend them for their diligence in producing this report annually.”
The Government Finance Officers Association, with a membership of over 21,000 professionals, plays a vital role in advancing excellence in government finance. Through the provision of best practices, professional development opportunities, resources, and practical research, the association supports its members and the communities they serve.
