No matter what you’re going through, we are committed to helping you fulfill your basic needs. We offer support services that provide students with access to meals, groceries, and other essentials so they can stay focused on class and achieve their educational goals.

Our Food is Your Food

The San Jacinto College Marketplace offers up to 30 lbs. of free groceries, meals, toiletries, and household necessities to currently enrolled students. Learn more below.

We're here to help. Here's how to get started.

When you arrive at the marketplace, we’ll verify that you’re currently enrolled at San Jacinto College and enrolled in the Houston Food Bank’s Food for Change program. Don't worry, if you’re not yet signed up, a team member will assist you with the registration process during your visit.

  • You may visit any of our three campus locations as long as you do not exceed 30 pounds of products per week.
  • If you have registered a sub-shopper with the Houston Food Bank, that person may shop on your behalf.
  • Please do not bring any other family members or guests on-campus with you.

Please keep in mind that we are limited to what food and supplies we receive from our partners at the Houston Food Bank. For this reason, we cannot guarantee the availability or quantity of any specific items. However, we are committed to providing a balanced variety of food in every distribution using what we have available.

Please contact the marketplace office at sjcfoodmarketplace@sjcd.edu if you have any questions.
