Flickinger, Wilson take oaths of office

Marie Flickinger and Larry Wilson were sworn in as San Jacinto College Trustees on Monday, June 3, 2019.

 

Flickinger has served on the San Jacinto College Board of Trustees in Position 3 since 1995 and currently serves as Board chair. She also serves as chairmain of the building committee and is a champion for the student success agenda with the Board, College, and community.

 

In fall 2013, Flickinger earned the Association of Community College Trustees' M. Dale Ensign Trustee Leadership Award as the national community college trustee of the year because of her positive impact and influence on student success at San Jacinto College. She is a strong advocate for community colleges and higher education and has played a major role in many different College initiatives.

 

Wilson has served on the Board of Trustees since 2007. Wilson has been an attorney for 48 years, currently serves as a Deer Park municipal judge, and has served on the Pasadena City Council and as an East Harris County justice of the peace.

 

Active in the community, Wilson participates in many local service organizations and has been a Rotary member since 1973. He is a member of the San Jacinto College Foundation Board of Directors and serves on the College's finance committee.
